ShineTime was founded by Dave Jenvey at the age of 21, back in the spring of 2006. The reason Dave decided to start his own business at such a young age was because he'd had enough of doing dead-end jobs that paid poorly, and felt he might as well 'have a go'.
Very soon after having a go, it began to dawn on Dave that running your own business and actually making it a success is very difficult.
On the verge of giving up after struggling to find any customers, and in the throes of utter desolation, having invested £500 of his own hard-earned money on window cleaning equipment, an emotionally-dilapidated Dave was lucky enough to stumble across an area in Rubery, Worcestershire, where a window cleaner with a large round located there had recently retired.
It appeared to Dave that at long last the gods had finally decided to smile upon him; at least that's what he initially thought...
Dave's first day of professional window cleaning served up many problems due to his inexperience, but undeterred by the difficulties he encountered, he doggedly persisted, and thankfully, after a lot of practice, Dave slowly transformed into the window cleaning expert he is today.
